The PREMSTEM team is a collective of world leading clinicians, researchers, stakeholder advocacy groups and an industrial partner with well-established experience in neonatology and drug development. Our fifteen research partners represent eight countries: Australia, France, Germany, Italy, The Netherlands, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

The researchers in the PREMSTEM team have extensive experience in studying perinatal brain injury and testing brain therapies, including the application of stem cells in perinatal brain injury models. We also have expertise in clinical trial design and implementation.
Our team includes world leaders in stakeholder engagement and advocacy for research into perinatal brain injuries, improving clinical practice, and optimising the patient and caregiver experience.
Our partnership includes a highly regarded specialist in the development of advanced therapy medicinal products, with decades of experience in neonatology.
Finally, members of the team are pioneering bedside brain monitoring of preterm infants. This is important for the development of tools to provide clinicians with the ability to accurately measure and monitor preterm brain damage.
